Day 1: Juliaca – Puno

Upon arrival in Juliaca, meet and transfer to your hotel. En route, visit the Chullpas of Sillustani, 40 ft high stone cylinder burial chambers that were used by the Collas and the Incas. Umayo Lagoon located in front of the Chullpas; give us the opportunity to enjoy the beauty of the fauna and flora of the Altiplano, witness of millenary cultures. Overnight.

Day 2: Puno – Uros Floating Islands & Amantani

In the morning, motor boat excursion on the Lake Titicaca to the floating Uros Islands. The ancient inhabitants have built their islands by periodically adding new layers of dry Totora (a kind of reed). They also use this material to build their houses and boats.

After sharing their traditions with the islanders, the excursion continues to Amantani Island, inhabited by Quechua-speaking natives who leave according to their ancestral traditions and whose main occupation is pottery and fine textiles. Box lunch. Overnight at the house of an islander where you will enjoy the hospitality of a typical Amantani home.

Day 3: Amantani – Taquile – Puno

After breakfast you will have free time to stroll the island. By mid-morning our excursion continues to Taquile Island, inhabited by native Quechuas who have developed an efficient and original social system, and a magnificent textile technique. Upon arrival, we will have lunch, and then we will walk throughout its hills and archaeological sites. In the afternoon, return to Puno and transfer to the hotel. Overnight.

Day 4: Puno – Departure

At agreed time, transfer to the bus or train station or to Juliaca airport to continue your trip.
