CAJAMARCA

The city has three components that make it special: its superb Colonial architecture, its beautiful landscapes and its rich history. During the Inca Empire Cajamarca was an outstanding important administrative, military and religious center. In 1532, the Inca Atahualpa was captured by the Spanish conqueror Francisco Pizarro, and this brought to the end of the Inca Empire.
