CUSCO

Called the ‘Archaeological Capital of America’, Cusco was placed by UNESCO in the World Cultural Heritage List in 1983. Among its cobbled paving, we find buildings from the Inca period as well as Andean Barroque buildings from the Colonial period. Very near the city there are Inca constructions totally built in stone.

An hour drive from Cusco is the Sacred Valley and its villages of Pisac, Maras, Chinchero and Ollantaytambo, from where we can take the train to Machu Picchu, or take one of the Inca Trails.

Machu Picchu, the most important and beautiful legacy from the ancient Peruvians, is part of the Historic Sanctuary of the same name, was placed by UNESCO in the World Cultural and Natural Heritage Lists. It is located at the top of a mountain; harmonizing with the exuberant environment, creating a unique place in the world.
