Day 1: La Paz – City

Upon arrival transfer to the hotel. In the afternoon, city tour, visiting typical markets such as the Artesanal (Handicraft), the exotic market of the Witches, the Church of San Francisco, Plaza Murillo, colonial Jaen Street with its interesting museums, the suburbs of the South. Then we visit the Valley of the Moon, where erosion has caused stone forms that give the visitor the feeling of being in a real lunar landscape. Overnight.

Day 2: La Paz – Departure

At agreed time, transfer to the airport for your departure flight.

Tiwanaku (6 hrs)
Pre-Inca archeological site (1500 BC), located 72 km (45 ml) from La Paz, known for its monuments and its admirable stone sculpture. In this archeological capital of Bolivia, we visit the partly-underground Temple, Kalasasaya, the Puerta del Sol, the Museum and the town whose Church was built in 1612, in part with materials taken from the ruins.

Copacabana – Sun Island (12 hrs)
At 6: 00 am we leave La Paz heading to Copacabana (156 km – 97 ml), majestic Andean village, Sanctuary of the Virgin of Copacabana, on the shores of Lake Titicaca. We take a boat trip to the Island of the Sun, where there are remains of ancient civilization such as the Yumani stairways, the fountain of Eternal Youth, agricultural terraces, etc. We return to Copacabana for lunch and a guided tour of the town.

Note:If you continue to Puno, the connection is immediately after the lunch (no time to visit the town)

Coroico – Yungas (10 hrs)
We drive on a paved road passing by the Summit (26 km – 16 ml) at 4700 masl (15420 ft), from where we have a beautiful sight of impressive snow capped mountains. Then we descend to the semi-tropical valley, reaching the town of Coroico 98 km (61 ml) at 1700 masl – 5577 ft (approx. 2 hrs).
The temperature is warm, and we can see orchards of citrus fruits and banana trees everywhere. We visit the town, its surroundings and coca plantations.
